Description of content: The purpose of this Technical Regulation is to ensure that equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits placed on the market fulfil the necessary requirements in order to provide a high level of safety for consumers.

Objective and rationale, including the nature of urgent problems where applicable: The draft of the Technical Regulation is intended to exclude the outdated provisions concerning the designation of conformity assessment bodies. Also, the document stipulates new provisions related to the conformity assessment procedure - Module A. Additionally, the draft specifies that all certified relevant products must contain the CE marking.
